The Center for Economic Research and Reforms reported on changes in Uzbekistan's trade turnover with Central Asian countries in January-August this year.
According to the results of January-August 2022, the volume of Uzbekistan's foreign trade with Central Asian countries increased by 15.6% and reached $4.6 billion, which is 14.2% of the total volume of foreign trade.
At the same time, Uzbekistan's exports to Central Asian countries amounted to $1.9 billion (growth by 18.2%), imports – $2.6 billion (an increase of 13.8%).
The volume of trade turnover of Uzbekistan with Central Asian countries as of January-August 2022:
The foreign trade turnover with Kazakhstan aсcounted for $2.9 billion, exports – $883.9 million, imports – $2 billion.
The foreign trade turnover with Kyrgyzstan was $756.5 million, exports – $597.6 million, imports – $158.9 million.
The foreign trade turnover with Turkmenistan amounted to $533.5 million, exports – $146.5 million, imports – $387.0 million.
The foreign trade turnover with Tajikistan totaled $411.4 million, exports – $308.8 million, imports – $102.5 million.
The largest share in Uzbekistan's trade turnover with Central Asian countries is accounted for by Kazakhstan – 63%, the rest: Kyrgyzstan – 16%, Turkmenistan – 12% and Tajikistan – 9%.
