On April 25, 2025, the Center for Economic Research and Reforms (CERR) of Uzbekistan presented the results of its analysis of the automotive market for the past month.
In March of this year, vehicle sales in Uzbekistan decreased by 3%, totaling 76.8 thousand units.
Situation in the Passenger Car Segment
Sales of passenger cars declined by 3.4% over the month, amounting to nearly 65 thousand units.
Primary Automotive Market Situation
In the primary market for passenger cars, sales dropped by 6% compared to the previous month, totaling 22.4 thousand units.
On a year-on-year basis, activity in this segment increased by 3%.
Growth in the Foreign Passenger Car Segment
The foreign passenger car segment in Uzbekistan’s market continues to show positive dynamics, with a 28% increase in sales and a total of 2.7 thousand units sold during the month.
Despite significant monthly growth, the year-on-year increase remains moderate at 13%.
Secondary Market Situation
In March, the secondary market for passenger cars experienced a slight decline in activity by 2%, with total sales amounting to 42.5 thousand units.
Amidst this backdrop, the segment of used electric vehicles showed positive growth, with sales rising by 10% to 1.8 thousand electric cars, representing a threefold increase compared to the same period last year.
