The Center for Economic Research and Reforms reports on the changes in Uzbekistan’s trade turnover with Central Asian countries in January-April 2026.

In January-April 2026, Uzbekistan's foreign trade volume with Central Asian countries reached $2.8 billion (+32% compared to the same period in 2025), accounting for 10.5% of the country’s total foreign trade.

Uzbekistan’s exports to Central Asian countries amounted to $955.9 million (+29.3%), while imports totaled $1.8 billion (+33.5%).

Breakdown of Uzbekistan’s foreign trade with Central Asian countries:

With Kazakhstan: trade turnover reached $1.8 billion (+29.7%), including $425.5 million in exports and $1.4 billion in imports.

With Turkmenistan: trade turnover reached $325.1 million (+12.2%), including $62.9 million in exports and $262.2 million in imports.

With Kyrgyzstan: trade turnover rose by 56.2% to $351.3 million, including $254.2 million in exports and $97.1 million in imports.

With Tajikistan: trade turnover rose by 50.7% and amounted to $284.3 million, including $213.3 million in exports and $71 million in imports.

Share of Central Asian countries in Uzbekistan’s trade turnover: Kazakhstan – 65%, Kyrgyzstan – 13%, Turkmenistan – 12% and Tajikistan – 10%.
