The Center for Economic Research and Reforms reports on the changes in Uzbekistan’s trade turnover with Central Asian countries in January-July 2026.

In January-July 2026, Uzbekistan's foreign trade volume with Central Asian countries reached $5.4 billion (+28.2% compared to the same period in 2025), accounting for 10.9% of the country’s total foreign trade.

Uzbekistan’s exports to Central Asian countries amounted to $2 billion (+34.5%), while imports totaled $3.4 billion (+24.8%).

Breakdown of Uzbekistan’s foreign trade with Central Asian countries:

With Kazakhstan: trade turnover reached $3.3 billion (+24%), including $868 million in exports and $2.4 billion in imports.

With Kyrgyzstan: trade turnover rose by 53.8% to $776.7 million, including $575.8 million in exports and $200.9 million in imports.

With Turkmenistan: trade turnover reached $779.4 million (+15.9%), including $121.8 million in exports and $657.5 million in imports.

With Tajikistan: trade turnover rose by 44.9% and amounted to $565 million, including $437.5 million in exports and $127.5 million in imports.

Share of Central Asian countries in Uzbekistan’s trade turnover: Kazakhstan – 61%, Kyrgyzstan – 14%, Turkmenistan – 14% and Tajikistan – 11%.
