Based on operational data from the Tax Committee, Customs Committee, Central Bank, and the Uzbek Republican Commodity Exchange, the Center for Economic Research and Reforms monitors business activity across the regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
At the end of June this year, tax revenues maintained strong positive momentum, increasing by 45.6% compared with the same period last year.
The most notable increases in tax revenues were recorded in the Syrdarya, Tashkent, Navoi, Samarkand, and Kashkadarya regions, where growth averaged approximately 30%.
Customs payments increased by 19.2%. The highest growth rates were recorded in Namangan Region, at 63.5%, and Navoi Region, at 44.4%.
Stable positive dynamics were also observed in the Fergana and Tashkent regions, as well as in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, where customs revenues increased by an average of 40%.
During the reporting period, goods exports increased by 27.6%. The most significant growth in export shipments was recorded in Tashkent Region, at 54%, and Surkhandarya Region, at 44.4%. In the Andijan, Navoi, Syrdarya, and Khorezm regions, as well as in Tashkent city, growth averaged approximately 34%.
Lending also increased. During the period under review, the volume of loans issued by commercial banks rose by 5%. The highest increase was recorded in Samarkand Region, at 50.5%. In the Khorezm, Fergana, Andijan, and Bukhara regions, lending growth averaged more than 29%.
The volume of transactions on the Uzbek Republican Commodity Exchange increased by 17.4%. The highest growth in exchange activity was recorded in Bukhara Region, where the volume rose by 49.2%. Growth was also recorded in the Surkhandarya, Navoi, Syrdarya, Khorezm, and Andijan regions, averaging 32%.
