Analysis showed that in 2021 the city of Nukus accounted for 62.7% of the region’s foreign trade turnover. Moynak (5.7%), Beruni (3.8%), Turtkul (3.7%), Takhiatash (3.1%) and Ellikkala (2.9%) districts have the largest share in foreign trade turnover. The share of Nukus (1.0%), Bozatov (0.5%) and Takhtakor (0.3%) districts was significantly lower.

Nukus (71.7%) accounted for the largest share of the region's total exports. From Nukus to CIS, Europe, Baltic countries, Afghanistan, Dominican Republic, Iran, Turkey and China, mainly 13 types of products, including foodstuffs, alcoholic beverages, wood products, yarn, chemical products, plastics and manufactured goods made of them, cotton fiber , musical instruments, pharmaceuticals and live animals were exported.
In terms of exports, the next places are occupied by Kanlikul (3.9%), Beruni (3.4%), Ellikkala (3.0%) and Moynak (2.8%) districts. At the same time, Takhtakopir (0.3%), Karaozak (0.2%) and Bozatov (0.2%) districts had the lowest share.

Total imports of the region are 44.6% of machinery and equipment, 25.0% of chemical and food products, 7.1% of energy resources, 4.9% of services, 1.1% of ferrous and non-ferrous metals and 17.4%. others contributed to the products.
