The Uzbek car market went up again in November. CERR assessed the level of activity

The Center for Economic Research and Reforms (CERR) analyzes the situation on the automobile market of Uzbekistan on a monthly basis.

Car sales have grown at a record pace in Uzbekistan. In general, sales increased by 41% over the month. At the same time, sales of new passenger cars of domestic production increased by 58%, and foreign cars by 69%.

For reference: The review of the automobile market of Uzbekistan is one of the research areas of the CERR, which presents the dynamics of sales of vehicles of both domestic production and foreign cars. The data is presented both for the reporting month and for the period from the beginning of the year to the reporting month. In addition, data for the same period last year are provided to track market dynamics.

In November, over 159 thousand vehicles were sold in the republic, with an increase of 41% by October.

An increase in activity was observed in all regions of Uzbekistan. In particular, the largest sales growth in November was recorded in Tashkent (by 2 times), Ferghana (by 57%) and Surkhandarya (by 47%) regions.

In total, since the beginning of the year, car sales in the republic have increased by 2 times compared to the same period last year and amounted to 1.3 million vehicles.

Activity in the primary market of motor vehicles

In November, sales of cars in the primary car market increased significantly, in particular, the number of registered vehicles increased by more than 57% to 33 thousand in a month, and by 68% in a year.

The situation on the secondary car market

The number of offers on the secondary market of motor vehicles has also increased significantly. In the last month of autumn, more than 126 thousand cars were sold in the republic, which is 38% more than in October. Over the year, the secondary car market has grown 2.5 times.

The primary market of domestic passenger cars and foreign cars

Sales of new passenger cars of domestic brands in November amounted to 27 thousand, an increase of 58% compared to October, and compared to the same period last year, sales increased by 70%.

During the month, the volume of sales of new foreign-made cars increased by 69.6% to 2.9 thousand, while an increase of 2 times compared to last year was noted.
