CERR presents an overview of Uzbekistan’s automotive market

According to the data, total sales of motor vehicles across all categories in November amounted to 101.1 thousand units, which is 6% higher than in the same period last year.

Primary automotive market

In the primary market, sales of passenger cars increased by 15%, which corresponds to an increase of about 4.4 thousand units compared to November last year.

By region, the highest annual growth rates in passenger car sales were recorded in Tashkent city (+37%) and the Republic of Karakalpakstan (+8%).

In the segment of domestically produced new passenger cars, sales reached about 30 thousand units, showing a 13.6% year-on-year increase.

Sales of new foreign-manufactured vehicles amounted to around 5 thousand units, up by 22.5% compared to the same period last year.

Secondary automotive market

In the secondary automotive market, around 52 thousand passenger cars were sold in November, which is 8% lower than in the corresponding period last year.

At the same time, sales of used cars in the capital increased 1.4 times, which is 3.4 thousand vehicles more than in November last year.

Moreover, sales of electric vehicles in the secondary market increased 1.8 times year-on-year.
