Macroeconomic indicators of Namangan region for the first half of 2022

In January-June 2022, the gross regional product (GRP) of Namangan region at current prices was 17,222.9 billion soums, an increase of 6.6% compared to the same period in 2021. The contribution of Namangan region in the formation of GDP of the Republic of Uzbekistan was 4.4%.

GRP per capita accounted for 5847.8 thousand sums, an increase of 4.2%.

Industrial output totaled to 7754.3 billion sums, which was 8.6% more compared to the same period in 2021. The share of regional industrial products in the national industry was 3.1%.

In Namangan, consumer goods accounted for 4311.5 billion sums, and significantly increased (+16.0%).

Agricultural products totaled 9,559.3 billion sums, an increase of 3.5% compared to the same period in 2021.

The volume of construction works in the region reached 2921.5 billion sums, an increase of 9.8%. The share of construction works in the region was 4.8%.

The volume of retail trade reached 8139.1 billion sums, it was 13.8% more compared to the same period in 2021.

The volume of services accounted for 6,827.7 billion sums, which increased 16.0%. The share of service index in the Republic was 4.3%.

Fixed capital investments increased by 5.2% and totaled 6281 billion sums.

The volume of foreign trade turnover amounted to 601.5 million dollars and increased by 16.4% compared to the corresponding period of 2021. The share of regional foreign trade turnover in the total foreign trade turnover of the republic was 2.5%.

In the first half of 2022, the volume of exports amounted to 271.2 million dollars, up 22.7% compared to the corresponding period of 2021, and the volume of imports amounted to 336.8 million dollars, up 11.7% compared to the corresponding period of 2021.

The share of regional export and import volume in the national index was 2.7% and 2.3%, respectively.
