The volume of the gross regional product of the Samarkand region in 2022 amounted to 62.4 trillion sums. The growth was 5.8% compared to 2021. The region's contribution to the country's GDP was 7%. The volume of GDP per capita increased by 3.6% compared to 2021 and amounted to 15,323.2 thousand soums.
The volume of gross value added created in all sectors of the region's economy amounted to 97.5% of GDP, and net taxes on products amounted to 2.5%.
The share of industry and construction in the GRP structure by industry amounted to 22.1% (20.3% in 2021), the share of agriculture – 40.5% (43.8%) and the share of services – 37.4% (35.9%).
The contribution of the region to the formation of macroeconomic indicators of the republic is significant. The region's contribution to GDP was 7%, as well as 8.2% in investments in fixed assets (4th place among other regions), 6.7% in construction works (3rd place), 12.1% in agriculture (1st place).
The turnover of small businesses in 2022 amounted to 43.4 trillion sums (38.4 trillion sums in 2021). The share in GRP was 71.4% (74.1%). The decrease in the share of small businesses in GRP compared to the previous year is due to an increase in the share of large enterprises.
