Almost half of enterprises have been created over the past three years in Uzbekistan
The analysis showed that approximately 50% of business entities in Uzbekistan were created over the past three years
As of May 1, there are over 533 thousand registered enterprises and organizations in Uzbekistan, of which 501 thousand are active.
In January-April 2021, the number of newly created enterprises and organizations amounted to 37.4 thousand units, the State Statistics Committee of the republic said.

Compared to the same period last year, this indicator increased by 8 242 units, and the growth rate was 128.3 %.
Compared to last year, in the regional context, there was a significant increase in the number of newly created enterprises and organizations, in particular in the Kashkadarya region (by 2 826 units), the city of Tashkent (by 1 620 units), as well as in Fergana (by 1 217 units) and Bukhara (778 units) regions.
Compared to last year, in the regional context, a significant increase in the number of operating business
entities was recorded, in particular in the city of Tashkent (by 13 958 units), Samarkand (by 7 995 units) and
Kashkadarya (by 7 564 units) regions.
In terms of industries, if we compare with last year, the highest level was demonstrated by the trade sector - by 31 745 units, industry - by 15 029 units, followed by agriculture, forestry and fisheries - by 12 641 units,
health care and provision social services - only 1 368 units

In terms of industries, if we compare with last year, the highest level was demonstrated by industry - by 2 279 units, followed by agriculture, forestry and fisheries - by 1 759 units, information and communication - by only 392 units.
Of the total number of operating enterprises and organizations, a significant share falls on business entities – 439 927 units, or 87.7 %.
Their growth rates, if compared with the same period last year, amounted to 122.6 %. In the context of industries, growth was observed in agriculture, forestry and fisheries - 140.0 %, trade - 128.5 %, information and communication - 121.3 %, as well as in Kashkadarya - 134.6 %, Surkhandarya - 131.4 % , Samarkand - 128.3 %, Bukhara - 125.3 % and Jizzakh - 124.9 % regions.
