Infographics: Uzbekistan's foreign trade for March 2025

For March 2025, the republic's foreign trade turnover (FTT) reached $17.3 billion, which, compared to March 2024, increased by $1.4 billion (an increase of 8.6%) – the press service of the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports.

Of the total FTT volume, exports amounted to $8.1 billion (versus March 2024, an increase of 24.4% was noted), and imports – $9.2 billion.

As a result, the balance of foreign trade turnover amounted to a passive balance worth -$1.1 billion.

Among the 20 major partner-countries in foreign economic activity, there is an active foreign trade balance with three countries, in particular with Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. a negative foreign trade balance remains with the remaining 17 countries.

To this date, the Republic of Uzbekistan carries out trade relations with 173 countries of the world. The largest volume of foreign trade turnover was recorded with China (17.5%), Russia (14.9%), Kazakhstan (5.9%), Turkey (3.5%) and South Korea (2.4%).

According to the groups of countries, the largest volume of foreign trade falls on the CIS countries – $5.2 billion, of which the EAEU countries – $3.9 billion, trade turnover with other countries amounted to $12.1 billion, including with the EU countries – $1.5 billion.

In the structure of the Republic's foreign trade turnover, a significant share was recorded in Tashkent, which is 41.7%, or $1.9 billion, and the smallest share was recorded at 1.2% or $52.1 million in Syrdarya region.
