The foreign trade turnover of Surkhandarya region amounted to $108,2 million. The share of foreign trade turnover in the foreign trade of the Republic was 0,8%.
The total value of export products in the region amounted to $57,9 million (an increase of 121,3% compared to the same period in 2021) and the share of export products in foreign trade amounted to 53,5%, while the total value of imports amounted to $50,3 million (decreased to 82,5%) and the share of import products in foreign trade was 46,5%.
In the first quarter of 2022, the total value of food products that were exported amounted to $23,9 million, and the value of imported food products comprised $18,0 million. The share of food products in foreign trade was 37%.
In the first quarter of 2022, the total value of exported industrial products in the region comprised $30,1 million and the value of imported industrial products amounted to $11,6 million. The share of industrial products in the region was 39%.
In the first quarter of 2022, the total value of machinery and equipment exported in the region was $7,2 thosand, while the value of imports was $19,0 million. The share of machinery and equipment in the region’s foreign trade was 18%.
