Large-scale creative work has been carried out in Khorezm region across the country. Khorezm region plays an important role in the development of our country due to agriculture, large industrial enterprises, transport and communication system.
In recent years, new enterprises, small businesses, diversified farms have been created in the region. Promising projects have been implemented in the areas of tourism, textile industry, fish farming, poultry farming, irrigation and others. Residential buildings, hospitals, schools and kindergartens have been built. The implementation of many projects continues.
Gross regional product (GRP) for 2017-2020 increased by 17% and amounted to 21.6 trillion soums, industrial production increased from 2.8 trillion soums to 9.6 trillion soums (an increase of 46%).
The textile, automotive, electrical and food industries, tourism, services, greenhouse facilities are identified as the main "points of growth" in the Khorezm region.
Agricultural production increased by 6.7%, from 7.7 trillion soums in 2016 to 17 trillion soums in 2020.
The number of operating enterprises in the region increased by 25% from 19.4 thousand in 2016 to 24.1 thousand in 2020.
In the field of infrastructure development, in 2016-2020, 50 km of gas pipelines and 3,304 km of water supply networks were laid.
For five years, about 109 thousand jobs were created in the Khorezm region.
During the same period, 3,930 thousand square meters of housing were commissioned in the region, 12.3 thousand places were created in preschool institutions, 45.9 thousand places in schools, 2.2 thousand hospital beds.
In Khorezm region, 685 investment projects with a total value of 9.3 trillion soums will be implemented, which will create 14,909 new jobs.
