Since 2020, Uzbekistan has been participating in the activities of the EAEU as an observer state. EAEU countries (with the exception of Armenia) are among Uzbekistan’s key trade and economic partners. In particular, Russia ranks 1st, Kazakhstan 3rd, Kyrgyzstan 7th, and Belarus 12th among the destination countries for Uzbekistan’s exports.

Uzbekistan’s trade with EAEU countries is conducted under a free trade regime.

Excluding gold exports, the share of EAEU countries in Uzbekistan’s total exports reaches 29%.

For instance, in 2025 more than 1.6 thousand tons of fruit and vegetables were exported to EAEU countries (76% of the total export volume by weight) amounting to $1.1 billion (55% of the total export value of fruit and vegetables), along with over 70% of textile and machinery exports.

At the same time, the EAEU countries serve as the main source of food products (wheat, flour, vegetable and animal oils, etc.), a significant share of raw materials and inputs required for industrial production and construction (metals, aluminum, timber, etc.), as well as a certain portion of machinery and equipment imports.
