The level of business development in all regions of Uzbekistan in 2020 was studied through the information system "Business Indicator", the press service of the Center for Economic Research and Reforms.
According to the results of the assessment, the highest level of business development was recorded in Tashkent. The lowest rates were recorded in Kashkadarya, Surkhandarya and Samarkand regions.
Bektemir, Moynak, Kurgantepa, Yakkasaray and Karmana districts are leading, on the other hand Bakhmal, Buvayda, Tiroqkala, Uchkuprik, Samarkand, Bekabad and Yangiyul districts took the last places in the ranking.
Experts note that the conditions for doing business in the country have significantly improved in recent years. At the same time, due to the coronavirus epidemic, entrepreneurs faced a number of problems - for example, the amount of overdue loans increased by 63% during the year.
